Britain wants to postpone Brexit

15. Nov 2018

After the 12. and On 13 March, Parliament voted by a large majority to postpone Brexit, with or without an exit agreement in the British Parliament.

Now Mrs May must campaign for a postponement in the EU, because Britain alone cannot decide that the date will be postponed. All other 27 EU states must agree to a later exit date. While the EU has signaled a willingness to talk, Brexit could still force a hard Brexit for critical countries such as the EU.

Accordingly, the chances of a postponement are very high, but this is not yet final, as is the duration of the postponement.
